In these furnishings the designer Sebastian Menschhorn links the two polarities of Nature and Culture. Here they exist in harmony, like the lion and the lamb in the primal authenticity of the Garden of Eden. They are even mutually related: from the one springs the other. Out of something rough and living that has grown in the wild there emerges something smooth and crafted – a transformation. Every artefact has its origin in Nature and has passed from rough to refined, like fruit from the Tree  of Knowledge. Out of rough-barked trunks of oak grow softly rounded table tops for coloured glass panels to rest upon, reflecting the sky like woodland lakes.
